The World Must Stop Looking Away From The Horrific Suffering Inflicted On Palestinians In Gaza And The Occupied West Bank.
Reports Of Palestinians Being Stripped Naked, Humiliated And Subjected To Cruel Treatment Are Not Minor Incidents. They Are Profound Violations Of Human Dignity. Such Treatment Should Horrify Anyone Who Believes In Human Rights — And It Should Especially Concern Those Who Claim To Defend Jewish Values And The Lessons Of Jewish History.
At The Same Time, Israeli Attacks Continue To Kill Palestinians In Gaza. Reports That At Least Four People, Including Three Children, Were Killed Should Not Be Reduced To Another Daily Statistic.
And Where Is AIPAC When Palestinians Are Being Killed, Humiliated And Abused? Why Is So Much Effort Devoted To Attacking Critics As “Antisemitic” Instead Of Demanding That These Abuses Stop?
Condemning The Israeli Government, The IDF Or Israeli Policies Is Not Antisemitism. Antisemitism Is Hatred Of Jews. Opposition To Cruelty And Human-Rights Violations Is A Moral Duty.
Jewish History Teaches The World The Terrible Consequences Of Dehumanizing Human Beings. That Lesson Must Apply To Palestinians As Well.
The United States Must Stop Providing Political And Military Cover For Abuses And Demand An Immediate End To Attacks On Civilians, Accountability For Violations And Equal Human Rights For Palestinians And Israelis.
Silence Is Not Neutrality. In The Face Of Such Suffering, Silence Becomes Complicity.
