The killing of Palestinians in GAZA and the WEST BANK must not become invisible to the world.
In JENIN, ISRAELI FORCES reportedly killed three Palestinians, while masked ISRAELI SETTLERS attacked an NBC NEWS team. In GAZA, ISRAELI STRIKES killed two Palestinians, including a three-year-old boy. More than 1,200 Palestinians have reportedly been killed since last October’s ceasefire.
These are not statistics. They are human beings — children, parents, and families whose lives have been shattered.
The continuing violence demands more than expressions of concern. The UNITED STATES must use its enormous influence to demand an immediate end to attacks on Palestinian civilians and an end to settler violence in the WEST BANK.
Our government must also halt weapons sales that enable continued destruction and insist that ISRAEL comply with international law.
Silence in the face of suffering is not neutrality. It is complicity.
The killing must stop. Palestinian lives must matter just as much as any other lives.
