The decision to halve Food Assistance in the Occupied West Bank is a devastating blow to Palestinian Families already struggling with hunger, poverty, displacement, and violence.
The World Food Programme has been forced to reduce assistance from 400,000 people to only 200,000 because of critical funding shortages. Yet an estimated 900,000 people in the West Bank are already Food Insecure, and Food needs have more than doubled since 2023.
This is unconscionable. When Families cannot afford enough Food to feed their Children, the world must respond with greater urgency—not retreat.
Equally alarming are the Criminal Charges against 12 Israeli Prison Guards accused of beating Palestinian Prisoners. Allegations of such serious abuse demand a full, independent investigation and genuine accountability.
The United States cannot remain silent.
As Israel’s most powerful ally, our Government has a moral responsibility to demand adequate Humanitarian Assistance, protection for Palestinian Civilians, and accountability for abuses against Prisoners.
Palestinian Lives have the same value as every other Human Life.
Hunger must never be used as a political weapon. Prisoner abuse must never be tolerated. The United States must act now to defend Human Rights and human dignity.
