Your
interview with PM Netanyahu last week was extremely disappointing. You allowed
Netanyahu to use CNN as a sounding board for his propaganda. What was
particular offensive was his linkage of Hamas to ISIS ignoring Israel’s own
dark history which is rooted in terrorism. Israel since its founding has used
the South African apartheid model to impose its will on the indigenous population.
Your softball questions made no effort to hold Netanyahu guilty of his many
crimes. For example, the death of the three Israeli teenagers was used to
launch a blistering attack on Gaza. Subsequently, Israel admitted that Hamas
was not responsible for their deaths. Thus, the attack on Gaza was a political
decision to drive a wedge between the unity government of Fatah and the
Palestinian Authority – not in defence of rocket attacks by Hamas. I urge you
to use your considerable talents to offer more balancing reporting in the
future.
