Caught on tape Bob Woodward coaxed Trump to confess that he was well aware of the devastating impact of the Coronavirus in early February but downplayed its enormous impact fearful it might adversely impact his reelection.
This
latest scandal has shaken many Trumps’ supporters who have lost loved ones
congregating without masks in large crowds allowing the virus to fester and
spread. Ignoring the relentless warnings of American infectious disease experts
millions of Americans faith has been severely shattered. Many Trump supporters
feel they have been betrayed and duped.
President Trump claimed he lied about the dangers of the Coronavirus because he did not want people to panic. This is laughable coming from the same man who caused such panic in 2016 warning Americans that hordes of “rapists and murderers” were invading the US from our southern borders. He reassured white Americans he would protect their hallowed suburbs from a “colored” invasion. He continued to peddle his ignorant fantasy that the virus would miraculously vanish even after nearly 200,000 Americans have died.
He often boasts he is a wartime president. If a general sent 200,000 troops to death on a failed mission, shouldn’t he be court-marshaled?
Much
like the infamous Nixon tape which ended his presidency, Trump’s confession
could be the final nail to end his disastrous presidency.
It’s
time to retire the Pied Piper of deceit on November 3rd.
