Germany has a special moral responsibility to stand against racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia and every form of dehumanization.
The lesson of the Holocaust must be universal: never again must mean never again for everyone.
Angela Merkel was right to recognize Germany’s historic responsibility toward Israel. But that responsibility should never require silence when Palestinian civilians are killed, displaced, starved or denied their basic human rights.
Germany should use its history not as a reason for silence, but as a reason to speak courageously against the suffering of all civilians.
The memory of the Holocaust demands humanity, not double standards.
Jewish lives matter. Palestinian lives matter. Every human life has equal dignity.
Germany must stand for that principle.
