The Trauma Of Israelis did not begin on October 7, 2023. Palestinian Trauma goes back to 1948, the Nakba, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homes. The world must confront this history and the continuing Occupation.
Sooner Rather Than Later, Israel must open the crossings and allow massive amounts of Food, Water, Medicine and other Humanitarian Aid into Gaza under United Nations supervision. People cannot be expected to survive on promises while children, families and civilians suffer.
Israel should also release prisoners who are being held without adequate due process, with particular urgency for Humanitarian Aid Workers, Journalists and others whose detention has prevented them from serving civilians and reporting the truth.
The Occupation must end. Palestinians must have freedom of movement, with safe and reliable passage into and out of Gaza and the West Bank. Palestinians deserve the same fundamental rights, freedom and self-determination that people everywhere seek for themselves.
Foreign Journalists must also be allowed independent access to Gaza and Israel. The world needs independent reporting, not competing claims that cannot be freely verified.
Time Is Running Out. The World Is Losing Patience With Endless War, Occupation And Suffering. The Time For Genuine Action, Accountability And A Just Peace Is Now.
