Palestinian Youth risked their own safety to rescue Levine while the Israeli Military, which had reportedly been expected to protect the Farmers, failed to prevent the assault. Witnesses also described Soldiers firing into crowds as people retreated into the Village.

The Israeli Government must end Settler Violence, protect Palestinian Communities and ensure independent investigations and criminal accountability. The United States and other Governments must demand action, not offer political cover. Journalists and Farmers must be able to work without fear of being beaten, displaced or killed.
