The appointment of Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief of CBS News should alarm anyone who values truth and human decency. Weiss has long cloaked herself in the language of “free speech,” yet her career has been defined by suppressing voices that expose Israel’s atrocities and speak for Palestinian humanity.
Her elevation under billionaire Larry Ellison — a close Trump ally and outspoken supporter of Israel’s military campaign — is no coincidence. It signals a calculated move to turn one of America’s most respected news outlets into a platform that normalizes genocide, mass starvation, and the slaughter of innocent civilians in Gaza.
Those who endorse such horror should ask themselves: would they have supported the Holocaust of Jews? Palestinians and Jews share the same Creator; to justify the extermination of one people while invoking the suffering of another is moral blindness of the highest order.
Before it’s too late, those cheering this cruelty should open their hearts — and perhaps read Spirituality for Dummies — before they too face the wrath of history and of conscience.
