A shutdown is not a sign of strength or leadership; it is a display of arrogance and disregard for millions of Americans who rely on functioning government services. Federal workers, families dependent on assistance, and countless small businesses all pay the price for one man’s political theater.
Trump treats disruption as a victory, but voters remember the chaos, the missed paychecks, and the loss of trust in government. His constant boasting about “fighting the system” only highlights his inability to govern responsibly. A president should protect the nation’s stability, not revel in its dysfunction.
