I Implore People Around The World, Especially Americans, To Break Their Silence And Demand An Immediate End To The Devastation Of Gaza, The Dispossession Of Palestinians In The West Bank, And The Violence Affecting Lebanon. I Also Call Upon AIPAC And Other Powerful Organizations To Use Their Influence To Demand Accountability Rather Than Remain Silent.
The World Must Confront The Actions Of Israeli Prime Minister BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, Whose Government Has Faced Grave International Allegations Concerning Its Conduct In Gaza. Even More Alarming Is The Role Of National Security Minister ITAMAR BEN-GVIR, Who Has Now Proposed A Seven-Year Plan to Remove Approximately 1.9 Million Palestinians From Gaza. Calling Such Departure “Voluntary” Does Not Resolve The Fundamental Problem When People Are Living Under Devastating Conditions And Facing Enormous Pressure To Leave.
These Are God’s Children—Palestinian And Israeli, Muslim, Christian, Jewish And Others—And Every Human Life Has Equal Worth. No Government Should Have The Power To Decide That An Entire People Must Be Driven From Their Homeland.
The International Community Must Also Remember The Historical Responsibility Of Britain. The Balfour Declaration And The British Mandate Helped Create The Political Conditions That profoundly affected Palestine, culminating in the catastrophe of 1948 and the mass displacement of Palestinians. Britain Must Not Now Remain Silent When Palestinians Are Again threatened With Displacement.
Nor Should Governments Or Institutions Attempt To Silence Peaceful Pro-Palestinian Voices. Criticism Of Government Policy, Advocacy For Palestinian Rights, And Calls For An End To Civilian Suffering Must Not Be Suppressed Simply Because They Are Politically Uncomfortable.
Silence In The Face Of Mass Suffering Is Not Neutrality. It Is A Choice.
I Call Upon AMERICANS, BRITONS, AIPAC, Religious Leaders, Human-Rights Organizations, And Governments Everywhere To Break Their Silence. Demand An End To Forced Displacement, Protect Civilians, Defend Freedom Of Expression, Uphold International Law, And Demand Accountability From Those Responsible—Regardless Of Their Nationality Or Political Power.
The Time For Silence Is Over. The World Must Stand With God’s Children And Demand Justice, Dignity, Freedom, And Peace For Palestinians And Israelis Alike.
