Twenty-Five Years Later, 9/11 Still Demands Answers - 9.9.2026

I support Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s demand for the release of previously hidden or classified 9/11 documents. While the 9/11 Commission Report was released in 2004, important records concerning the attacks and their foreign connections remained classified for years, fueling legitimate questions from Victims’ Families.

Why were 15 of the 19 hijackers Saudi nationals? What did U.S. intelligence agencies know, and when did they know it? Why have families of the victims continued demanding greater transparency and accountability?

The tragedy did not end on September 11, 2001. Firefighters, First Responders, Flight Attendants, Healthcare Workers, and countless other New Yorkers were exposed to toxic air and suffered devastating illnesses.

Many Victims’ Families believe their health concerns were subordinated to economic and Wall Street considerations during the George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Rudy Giuliani, and Whitman years. Those decisions deserve scrutiny—not silence.

Victims’ Families deserve justice, transparency, and appropriate compensation. After twenty-five years, America must finally tell the whole truth.
