The mass murder of Journalists and Aid Workers in Gaza should shock the conscience of the World. The UN reported that at least 589 Aid Workers had been killed in Gaza since October 2023, including 397 UN staff. These are not merely numbers; they are people who risked their lives providing essential humanitarian assistance.
Palestinians recently held a Vigil to honor Journalists killed in an Israeli Strike a year ago. Journalists must be protected, not treated as targets.
Equally disturbing is the destruction of a Limestone Monument in the occupied West Bank. Reports that Israeli forces stood by while an Israeli far-right Lawmaker destroyed the Monument raise serious questions about accountability and the protection of Palestinian Cultural Heritage.
If Soldiers and Political Leaders can stand by while Cultural Heritage is destroyed and Aid Workers and Journalists are subjected to mass murder, the International Community cannot remain silent.
The United Nations and Governments around the World must demand independent investigations, accountability, and full protection for Journalists, Aid Workers and Cultural Heritage.
International Law must apply to everyone. Human Life and Human Dignity cannot depend on nationality.
